Meet

Julie Denny
Julie Denny spent fifteen years in marketing and business
development for Dow Jones, McGraw-Hill and the Associated Press and four years
with the Alliance for Mediation & Conflict Resolution before founding
Resolutions,
Inc. in 1998. The company is dedicated to helping clients communicate more
effectively and manage and resolve conflict. She has worked as a mediator,
trainer, coach and facilitator with multi-national companies (American Express,
Johnson & Johnson, Draft Worldwide), not-for-profit organizations (Girl
Scouts of the USA, American Association of Advertising Agencies, Roundabout
Theatre), government agencies (US Postal Service, Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission, Transportation Security Administration) as well as a number of
small and family owned businesses.
Julie is a frequent speaker at conferences around the
country on topics related to communication and conflict. She has addressed,
among others, the International Association of Conference Centers, both the New
York and American Society of Association Executives, the Academy of Family
Mediators, International Women in Communication, the American Association of
Advertising Agencies, the Association for Conflict Resolution and the American
Women's Economic Development Corporation.
A regular reviewer of books on communication and dispute
resolution for Library Journal, Julie has also published many articles on
related topics and has been featured on Court-TV, Bloomberg Network and NY1 in
segments on effective communication.
Julie, a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College, is president-elect
of the Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York. She also serves
on the board of New York Theatre Workshop, producers of the blockbuster, Rent.
Before joining the business world, Julie spent ten years in the theater.
