Meet
the Practitioners
Jan Austin
Jan Austin is an organizational consultant and coach with
over twenty years experience as an organizational leader and entrepreneur and
eight years experience as an independent coaching and consulting professional.
She is founder and President of
Potential At Work,
Inc. She has worked with leaders in a variety of organizations, including
the Federal Aviation Administration, United States Department of Labor, Eastman
Kodak, Marriott, Ernst and Young, Outplacement International Partners, Drake
Beam Morin Venezuela, Afterburner Seminars, Smith Barney, Abbott Laboratories,
People's Bank, NRT, Pittsburgh Technical Institute, Frito-Lay, Kitchell
Corporation, and Astra Zeneca.
Jan was founding director of Corporate Coach University's
corporate coaching training program where she spearheaded the development of
organizational coaching as a distinct coaching discipline. An expert in the
area of personal distinctiveness, she currently offers special reports, a
teleforum series and a monthly e-zine called Branding Matters on topics related
to personal branding and signature leadership.
Jan's educational background includes a bachelor's
and a master's degree in psychology and a master's degree in management. She is
also a graduate of Coach University's program in professional coaching and of
Corporate Coach University's program in corporate coaching. She holds the
designation of master certified coach from the International Coach Federation.
She supports the ongoing development of the coaching profession as a faculty
member at Corporate Coach University and as a member of the Coaching
Association's Program Accreditation and Professional Certification committees.
Jan lives with her husband, Dan, in Western North Carolina.
When not engaged in professional pursuits, she can be found exercising her
artistic talents in her quilt barn.
